Green smoothie


Go Greennnnnnnnnn!

I love smoothies ,as is full of vitamins, minerals, probiotics which keep you full .
I am having this smoothie in lunch.

Cucumber, apple smoothie




3/4 cup 0%fat plain Greek yogurt ( I use Kirkland yogurt)
2 small  Persian cucumber (
4-5 leaves mint
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 medium apple







Blend all ingredients in mixer and blend them to make thick 
 smoothie.

Benefits:


  • Improve your digestion.
  • Make your stomach full, while you are craving for some unhealthy munching .
  • yogurt has 15% of protein.
  • lose weight.

Cold and cough , Eucalyptus is the Best!



Season of  Winter brings sneezing, coughing symptoms in  our house , specially in kids. Well adults have choices how to get rid of it, but still for all ages it is like painful headache when this sickness comes to you.

From childhood, whenever we had cold or cough, runny nose, my Mom applied Eucalyptus oil. Amazing oil!!!
And I am following my Mom's Ayurveda tips for my kids.
and you won't believe it, we never take any medicine for that!

Eucalyptus oil has so many benefits.

  1. Cure nasty cough and common cold
  2. Useful in arthritis , join pain
  3. Help to Nuzzle congestion   
  4. Breathing problem during flu and common cold, eucalyptus oil helps unbelievably .
How to apply oil on your body?
for kids, apply few drops of oil on their clothes and their bed sheet. so they can breath easily . Take few drops and apply it on their foot bottom. Do this application at bed time.
(Before you start this process please consult your doctor for any allergies) 
For kids over age of 10 apply this oil on their nose, throat, chest,back and feet. also on their clothes during bed time.



Today's Recipe :

Spinach onion omelet




1 cup chopped spinach(fresh spinach)
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 table spoon jalapeno pepper  chopped
2 medium eggs (organic)
black pepper
1 teaspoon salt free organic herb mix
cooking spray, olive oil
Mix 2 eggs well and add all ingredients in eggs.
spray cooking oil in your pan and pour this mixer and cook your omelet well.
 








Enjoy!
Don't forget to drink water and eat veggies and fruits.

Rich breafast

Very much relaxed when I see this painting. Of course , in my relaxing time I love to do painting on canvas and  I really enjoyed it! Last year I made so many paintings and i will showcase them soon.

Rich breakfast, name seems very Royal indeed.
Yes, I am talking about Healthy Rich Breakfast, which everybody should have in morning.



 Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. 

  1.  It give you energy to start a new day
  2.  Breakfast have so many health benefits, including weight control and improved performance. 
  3. Eat nutritionally complete diet with higher in nutrients, vitamins and minerals which you can get from steel cut oat, fruits, milk, yogurt , nuts ,vegetable juice.
  4. Improve your focus, concentration ,and stability of internal organ. specially for kids.
  5. Improve your physical strength and give your more energy which you really need specially in the morning time.
  6. Breakfast helps to lower your cholesterol , lose your weight , power up your metabolism
  7. Reduced your hunger throughout the day.
So, Don't skip your breakfast at all.
Did your try this breakfast, you might.
1/2 Grapefruit 
1/4 cup Steel cut oatmeal 
 5-6 Soaked almonds
1/4 cup blueberry( my fav!)


cook steel cut oats in 1 1/2 cup of water at medium heat for 15-17 mins until it become soft and well cook.
add blueberries and almonds (peel skin of almonds and sliced them)
then eat you grapefruit.







No complains please i know your tummy is full ,lol
Dont forget to drink water through out day.

Morning wake up call....

Every morning we should start our routine life with smile :)


Once you open your eyes, just lay in your bed for 5-7 minutes and then get out from bed . why?


Because during your night sleep your body would like to rest and your brain start working in an amazing way!
 sleep don't just help keep our bodies healthy, but our minds as well. And more than 6 hours of sleep,during that period brain helped improve the performance on tasks designed for the memory.
 sleep does not just stabilize our memories, it may actually help our brains process the memories, keep storing them after few hours of sleep! isn't it amazing?
While you wake up your blood sugar level is low, so stay in bed for 5-7 minutes then turn your body side ways and get up gently like a lazy kid.....
start your routine.

Every morning drink 2 glass of warm water. now tell you the best recipe.
  • If you have copper glass , then fill your glass with water at  room temperature and cover it before you go to bed.drink this water in morning  immediately after brushing your teeth.
  • After 10 minutes drink  another glass of water but it should be warm and add half lemon,1/2 teaspoon of ginger in it.
Benefits of drinking water in the morning is surprising.

  • purify the colon that improve  a better digestive system.
  • Drinking water in morning  removes the toxins from the blood which makes the skin pores open,clear all impurity from skin..
  • Water  also improves and create the  new blood cells .
  •  Help to boost your metabolic system to reduce fat cells and help to lose weight.
  • Copper is an essential mineral for our body. Ayurveda said that  the water stored in copper glass or jug  is called ‘Tamra Jal’ Tamra means Copper and Jal means water.
  •  Copper water helps to cure  skin diseases, inflammation, respiratory disorders,   gynecological disorders as copper is an antioxidant ,iron absorbent ,help to boost your nerve system. 
  • Detox your body with water.
I drink 2.7 to 3.0 Liter of water daily.!!!!!

  2. Improve absorption of essential nutrients
  3. Help to reduce nauseous , gas , cramps , cold ,flu ,throat and nose congestion.
  4. Very helpful for join pain.

  1. Lemon is an excellent  source of vitamin C,  that protects the body against immune system deficiencies.
  2. Contain pectin fiber which is very powerful antibacterial.
  3. It balances the pH levels in the body. helps flush out toxins and improve digestive system.
  4. It contains source citric acid, potassium, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium.
  5. It helps to stop the  bacterial infections and diseases.
  6. It helps reducing pain and inflammation in joints and knees 
  7. Lemon helps in cold ,flue and sore throat
  8. Lemon juice will help build strong bones in a child,if you drink during pregnancy 
  9. Lemon helps amazingly on skin wrinkles, acne , scars ,dandruff .

So , start drinking water.

Hello I am kavita , love to share my unbelievable interest in healthy food and fashion! Food lover from childhood and totally into all sense of fashion.
My great inspiration for healthy living is my parents, specially my father, who is in his 80s , living simple but in my words " Ayurveda "  life.
" Food is not to fill your appetite but it is healer to your nerve and soul." this is what my father says.
Fashion always drags you towards physical structure, of course everyone wants perfect body to showcase their fashion sense. But every body is different and each personality is vary from others obviously.
